The WAVE Collaborative
The WAVE (Wider Access Virtual Expeditions) Collaborative is a 2-day workshop hosted with Dr. Peter Girguis at Harvard University. The goal of the workshop is to convene an interdisciplinary cohort of scientists, artists, and storytellers to work together in designing a tool that can be used to engage the public on the importance of deep ocean exploration. We imagine this tool may be a performance or perhaps an art installation, however the workshop intentionally leaves this open to the imaginations of our participants. We will have a panel of local guest-experts on experiential storytelling and science engagement to provide tangible feedback on the group's final design.
MIT Open Space Programming
MIT’s Kendall Square Initiative features almost two acres of green, outdoor space. This open space will feature active, vibrant programming designed to engage the MIT, Cambridge, and Kendall Square communities. As the Program & Events Associate, I’m excited to create programs that will delight and build connection with our MIT, Cambridge, and Kendall Square communities. I’m especially interested in exploring how people experience and find connection with science, and how to spark creativity and innovation through interdisciplinary collaboration.
